Yiwen Yike

For parents of curious 5–8 year olds

Your child asks a question.
The owl draws the answer into a cartoon.

Your child says their “why?” out loud. A little later there is a hand-drawn cartoon made to answer it — clear, fact-checked, and on rules you set.

Free early access, invite only. Cartoons are narrated in Chinese for now.

“Mum, where do stars come from?”

Three steps. Your child can do it alone.

App screen: a big microphone and picture cards

1Say it, or tap a card

No reading needed: press the big microphone and ask, or tap a picture card.

App screen: the owl checks the question

2The owl checks

The owl reads it back — “You want to know why wheels are round, right?” — and starts only when your child taps yes.

App screen: the drawing journey while waiting

3A chime when it’s ready

Usually a few minutes to about ten, with a little game while waiting. About 2 minutes long by default — you can change it.

Screens 2 and 3 are shown in Chinese; the app also runs in English.

Why parents trust it

Your child gets one big microphone. You keep the rules.

🎛

You set the rules

How long each cartoon is, how many a day, whether you approve each one first — enforced on our servers, not just hidden buttons.

🔍

Fact-checked

Every cartoon is fact-checked before it is made, using the simplifications teachers use, consistently.

🛡

Safe content

Each question is first checked as suitable for a young child; scripts are reviewed again before they're voiced.

🏠

Your child's data stays home

Recordings become text and are deleted at once; we never ask for anything that identifies your child; cartoons stay in your account — no public feed, no comments.

🔒

No buying on the child side

Kid mode shows no prices or purchases; leaving it needs a grown-up check.

🏷

Labelled as AI

Every cartoon says it is AI-generated at the start, carries a corner mark throughout, and in its file data.

How it differs from what you know

Cartoon channels

They answer questions someone else picked. Here the cartoon answers your child’s own question, in a voice you choose.

Audio stories

There are pictures for things you cannot see — and any question works, not only a fixed library.

AI chat

Children will not sit through a wall of text. This is a complete, age-appropriate cartoon with parental controls and fact-checking.

Free early access

Yiwen Yike is in an invite-only early access. It is free during this period — no payment details needed.

Questions parents ask

What age is it for?
It is designed around 5–8 year olds who can say a question out loud. Younger children can use it with a parent; older ones enjoy it too.
How long does a cartoon take?
Usually somewhere between a few minutes and about ten. Your child can play while waiting and hears a chime when it is ready.
Can it get things wrong?
Every cartoon is fact-checked before it is made, and anything unsuitable for a young child is not made at all. If you spot a mistake, report it from the video page and we will look at it.
What happens to my child's information?
Recordings are turned into text and deleted right away. We never ask for anything that identifies your child, such as a name, photo or school. Cartoons stay in your account and you can delete them at any time.
Does it cost anything?
Early access is free and invite only. We will tell you well in advance before anything costs money, and nothing renews automatically.
Is it in English?
The iPhone and Android apps are in English and Chinese; the web version is in Chinese only. The cartoons themselves are narrated in Chinese for now.
Will my child spend too long on it?
You decide how long each cartoon is and how many can be made each day. Cartoons are about 2 minutes by default and nothing plays automatically afterwards.
How do I delete my account?
In the app under Me → Delete account, or on the account deletion page.
